I Can Be A Millionaire! Financial Literacy Education

SoLa brought together parents and their kids from South LA to give them the knowledge that is necessary to make financially responsible decisions – to understanding how a checking account works, what using a credit card really means, and how to avoid debt.

The sessions were followed by a visit to the neighborhood Chase branch which opened its doors after hours so the kids could open their first savings accounts. Each child was given $50 to open a savings account.
